overall this does what it supposed to. if you already have a bunch of Makita Li-Ion tools then its a great addition.
robust suction for a cordless and superior 20min battery life with the 3AH batteries.
I dinged Makita a couple stars on this a single for the following factors...
1. For a piece of plastic with a small motor and fan inside, $99 is a bit pricey.
two. The on off switch is a momentary switch that has to stay held to operate. there is no continuous on switch position or lock
3. they reversed the nozzle connections to make it so normal vacuum accessories don't fit with no generating the 1 1/four inch adapter that a earlier reviewer mentioned...
4 the cloth filter gets dirty true swift causing loss of suction. a pleated paper filter would have probably worked superior and much easier to blow clean with a compressed air nozzle....
